On Thursday, August 27th and Friday, August 28th, United Way of Northwest Arkansas hosted Campaign Kick-off events across Northwest Arkansas. The Kick-offs were held at the University of Arkansas, NorthWest Arkansas Community College, and John Brown University. 155 community members attended a kick-off breakfast. We were thrilled by the turnout of people excited about our work and ready to help us build a pathway out of poverty for kids in Northwest Arkansas!
“We have a chance to impact these young people now and if we don’t they will chose something to be a part of later in their life. We want them to choose positive because they have hope.” -Congressman Steve Womack
“It was refreshing and exciting to see members of the community connects so strongly with our children living in poverty focus while attending the kickoff events” -Ken Robertson, United Way Campaign Chair
“These kids are a major part of our future. We are in this for the long hall” -Todd Simmons, CEO Simmons Foods
