Give, Advocate and Volunteer to “Paint Futures Bright”

There are plenty of ways to give to a favorite cause. Beyond financial support, United Way of Northwest Arkansas offers members of our community the opportunity to volunteer and advocate on behalf of more than 27,000 children in Northwest Arkansas who live in poverty.

Beginning in August, we’ll form a Campaign Cabinet Committee to help us in our annual campaign efforts.  Volunteers on this committee will enjoy the chance to visit area companies and share news about United Way’s impact in our area.

This year’s Campaign call-to-action is “Paint Their Future Bright” and money raised as a result of these fundraising efforts will benefit, in part, programming designed to provide a pathway out of poverty for the 1 in 4 NWA children who need our help.

Leading this year’s cabinet:

Campaign Chair

Mike Russell, Procter & Gamble

Regional Chair – North

Steve Crumpler, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

Regional Chair – South

Dr. Kim Needy, University of Arkansas

From August to November, committee members will meet monthly and will make 3 to 5 calls to businesses that support United Way of Northwest Arkansas by running workplace campaigns. If you’d like to join us, or would like more information, please contact Ashley Wardlow, Resource Development Director at (479) 303-4420 or by email at awardlow@unitedwaynwa.org.
