United Way of Northwest Arkansas is excited to have Carlos Garbutt joining the team. Garbutt joins United Way NWA as Community Impact Director to oversee the day to day functions of the 2-1-1 Hotline as well as the AmeriCorps Grant. Carlos will work to ensure the stability of these aspects of United Way and continually monitor their use to make sure they best serve the community. The hiring of Garbutt also allows the 2-1-1 hotline to be 24 hour seven day a week service. Carlos arrives to United Way after stints with the Alzheimer’s Association and Community Connect. Garbutt comments, “I am excited to join the United Way team and hope to be the best thing that happens to someone on their worst day.” Carlos is taking Holy Sparls Hill’s place, who retired last spring.
