Season Greetings from United Way! We wish our committed volunteers, our investors and partners, our donors and loyal contributors, peace and joy during this Christmas season and thank youyou’re your continued support. It is a definitely a season of giving – and change for United Way of Northwest Arkansas.

We are in the midst of change at United Way and want to share our vision. As we look forward to the New Year, our volunteers have been busy charting the course for the future direction of United Way. We have spent the better part of a year learning about the challenges and barriers confronting families in Northwest Arkansas. We do know that for thousands of hard-working families, the basic ingredients for a good life are increasingly beyond reach. One in four working families does not earn enough to provide for their families.

Through a lot of hard work, research, listening and planning, we have developed a strategic plan for our community. It is the culmination of the past year’s research and lays out our strategic approach towards improving lives and changing prevailing community conditions in Northwest Arkansas. Like most strategic road maps, it lists our goals, strategies to achieve those goals and prospective community-level performance indicators by which we can begin to measure progress.

A copy of the report “Charting a Strategic Course” can be found here. Please take a few moments to review this document. If you would like more information about our strategic direction, please contact me at 479-303-4412 or jdarling@unitedwaynwa.org. We are committed to creating opportunities for everyone in our community and invite you to join us and be a partner in our work.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
