Denise Ratcliff has taken on the role of Resource Development Director at the United Way of Northwest Arkansas. She is bringing a lot of great experience from both the corporate and nonprofit world to her new role and we are excited to have her!
We asked Denise a few questions about what made her decide to join the United Way team and she responded by saying, “The opportunity to change the world is around every corner and it allows me to combine my business/corporate background with my passion to help others.” Denise went on to mention that there are already certain things she loves about working at United Way especially the opportunity to work with a team who have all chosen to work towards a higher goal in our community. Denise has been given a lot of information about United Way of NWA and our bold goal of providing a pathway out of poverty for every child in Northwest Arkansas and when we asked her what is one thing she wants the community to know about the work being done at United Way she stated, “Nearly a quarter of children in Northwest Arkansas under the age of 18 live in poverty – that’s 27,000 children. The United Way of Northwest Arkansas focus will be to create a pathway out of poverty for these children and families.”
We are so excited to have Denise onboard and can’t wait to see what the future holds for our United Way team. We also wanted to share some fun facts about Denise with our Northwest Arkansas community (and believe us, some of these are really fun!).
