.VITA Volunteer.

Learn to prepare taxes and make a difference at the same time!

In partnership with WestArk RSVP and  CARE Community Tax Center, United Way’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is designed to help hardworking families, senior citizens, persons with disabilities and those with limited English proficiency who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. The program utilizes the power of local volunteers to help individuals and families receive a “tax time boost” toward building stronger financial lives. Volunteers are needed for all VITA sites during the tax filing season January 28 – April 15, 2019

Don’t know that much about taxes? Don’t worry – you will get specialized training or you can choose a volunteer role that doesn’t require tax law certification. The hours are flexible, the training is free and the time commitment is up to you.

  Volunteer Positions.
