United Way’s Pillars Society recognizes people who lead the way in advancing the common good in our community by giving at least $1,000 each year. Leadership gifts from Pillars givers account for approximately 25% of the total dollars raised each year during the community campaign. Pillars givers are recognized with a thank you event.
This year’s event is a concert with Barrett Baber, who was a finalist on NBC’s The Voice. An Arkansas native, Barrett was a teacher at Fayetteville High School before joining The Voice. The event is free for Pillars Givers, and is $15 per person for the public. Children under the age of 12 get in for free. You must register below.
This is a child-friendly event! Your entire family is welcome to attend for free. Please note the number of children and adults you’ll be bringing in the registration boxes at the bottom of this page.
ABOUT BARRETT BABER
An Arkansas native, Barrett Baber’s inspiration for singing and creating music started with frequent visits to Memphis, Tennessee, only a few miles from his hometown in Marion, Arkansas. On Beale Street, Barrett was exposed to blues, R&B, country and rock by street performers, local bands and touring artists.
His musical career eventually led him to winning CBS’s GRAMMY Gig of a Lifetime award in 2014. One year later, Baber auditioned for NBC’s season nine of “The Voice” and landed a spot on legendary country artist Blake Shelton’s team.
He caught the attention of millions of viewers, delivering one of the most memorable introductions to a true artist and entertainer the show had ever seen. With his commanding performance energy, Baber owned the stage from round one and his unique, soulful country sound stood out among the entire show as something truly special. Barrett is currently recording new music in Nashville, and embarking on a national tour with some of country music’s top names.
