Our Mission
Our Mission
United Way of Northwest Arkansas is a forward thinking organization working to improve the capacity of individuals and families by mobilizing the caring power of our community through collaboration with our partners.

Our Vision
United Way envisions a world where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through education, income stability and healthy lives.
Diversity and Inclusion
At United Way of Northwest Arkansas we are exploring ways to support lasting change in our community.
United Way fights for greater opportunity for every person in every community. We stand for all people of color and are committed to fighting for justice and equality. Racism has no place in our community, yet racial inequity is still a significant barrier for many of our neighbors. We are committed to addressing inequities that prevent people from accessing opportunities that can lead to a pathway toward prosperity.
For more than 90 years, United Way of Northwest Arkansas has been a beacon of hope and change, and we see this as a moment to shine even brighter.
We are dedicated to developing a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion by considering these concepts in their many forms, including diversity of appearance, background, ideology, ability and more. Members of our board and staff participate personal and professional development activities that examine societal preconceptions as well as our own.
We believe that community challenges are sustainably solved when all parties come together, and the time for change is now. Together, we can unite to create better days for everyone.
Our Core Values
Stewardship
We are thoughtful, prudent and honest with the use of funds, and we hold ourselves accountable on every decision.
Excellence Driven
We routinely scrutinize our actions and programs to ensure results are meaningful and relevant, and then we refine and adjust.
Innovation
We think outside societal parameters, and we look ahead to bring awareness to the ever-changing needs of our community to improve our neighbors’ quality of life.
Collaboration
We lead and connect with the community, nonprofits and local businesses to bring people together to address common issues.
Impact
We offer solutions to guide other organizations to serve the community more effectively.
