Live United Day

Live United Day is a volunteer day of action in April for the Northwest Arkansas community. It is one of the largest one-day volunteer efforts of the year, and takes place during National Volunteer Week. Northwest Arkansas unites to serve Benton, Madison and Washington counties in Arkansas and McDonald County in Missouri. Local volunteers are paired with non-profits to complete much needed projects.

Fill The Bus

United Way volunteers and staff spend shifts of two hours throughout the first weekend of August, filling the bus with school supplies at all the Walmart Supercenters in Benton, Madison, and Washington counties in Arkansas and McDonald County in Missouri.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

Training for VITA will take place in November. Actual volunteer participation will take place January-April.

The program utilizes the power of local volunteers to serve as tax preparers and other key positions to help individuals and families receive a “tax time boost” to help build stronger financial lives. No previous experience is required. The hours are flexible. Volunteers are asked to serve an average of four hours per week from January through the tax deadline, which is April.
