The United Way of Northwest Arkansas relies on the time and resources of our valuable volunteers. See our opportunities below and click on “contact us” in the header or footer to tell us about your interest in becoming a United Way volunteer.

Live United Day

Live United Day is a volunteer day of action for the Northwest Arkansas community. It is one of the largest one-day volunteer efforts of the year and takes place during National Volunteer Week in April. Local volunteers are paired with nonprofits to complete projects throughout the region.

Fill The Bus

The Fill the Bus school supply drive supports 13 Northwest Arkansas school districts. United Way volunteers and staff spend shifts (2-2.5 hours) for two days in the summer filling buses with school supplies at Walmart Supercenters throughout Northwest Arkansas.

Funding Page

Local donors help United Way maximize the impact of our nonprofit partners, and people just like you determine where those donations go. Our community grants are reviewed by volunteers on the Community Investment Grant Committee, which represents a cross-section of the community, including business, philanthropy, academia and healthcare. Join us to help determine how United Way dollars are invested in our local community.
